Route 35 Coopers Bridge to Open

Deputy Transportation Commissioner Albert Ari will join state and local officials to cut the ribbon for the new Route 35 Coopers Bridge over the Navesink River in Red Bank and Middletown, Monmouth County.

The pre-ribboncutting ceremony will be held near the bridge at the Judith H. Stanley Building, 141 Bodman Avenue, Red Bank, NJ on Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at 10:00 AM. The ribboncutting will follow at mid-span on the bridge.

Route 35 is a key summer travel route in Monmouth County. NJDOT accelerated work on the bridge to complete the work before the peak summer travel period. The new $18 million bridge will provide two lanes of traffic in each direction on Route 35.
