Daily closures announced for Kearny peninsula ramp

to the Pulaski Skyway

(Trenton) - NJDOT officials today announced daily closures are planned for the entrance ramp onto the Route 1&9 Pulaski Skyway northbound from Central Avenue, in the industrial area of the south Kearny peninsula.

Beginning on Monday, October 31, the ramp is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday, through Friday, November 11. Motorists will be directed to use Route 1&9T northbound heading west.

The ramp closures are necessary for an on-going interim bridge deck repair and drainage improvement project on the Skyway.

NJDOT is working closely with the City of Newark, the City of Jersey City, the Township of Kearny, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and NJ TRANSIT to coordinate the successful completion of the Pulaski Skyway repairs.
