Municipal sewer work necessitates Interstate 80 westbound ramp closure in Paterson
(Trenton) - A municipal repair project to address a sewer collapse in Paterson City will require NJDOT to keep the Interstate 80 westbound Exits 58A and 58B ramp (for Madison Avenue) closed until the work is completed.
The municipal contractor is addressing a sewer collapse affecting E. 22nd Street and 23rd Avenue in the City. The I-80 Exits 58A and 58B ramp runs directly into 23rd Avenue and therefore needs to be closed during this repair effort. The ramp was closed around 7 a.m. Friday morning and is anticipated to remain closed until early Sunday morning, December 9 – or until the necessary work is completed.
