Major gas line repair work necessitates
sustained closure of Route 206 southbound
in Hillsborough
(Trenton) - Due to ongoing repairs to address a major underground gasoline leak near New Amwell Road, NJDOT is keeping a section of Route 206 southbound closed in Hillsborough, Somerset County.
NJDOT is assisting with traffic management while numerous municipal and county law enforcement, emergency management and utilities authority agencies address the issue. Local officials anticipate that the repair work could take several days.
• Route 206 southbound is closed to traffic at New Amwell Road. Motorists are being detoured to New Amwell Road to Auten Road to Amwell Road back to Route 206.
