For Current Technical Proposals

Questions will be accepted up to question cut-off date noted in the technical proposal.

Question 1: Will a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and a master’s degree in Environmental Studies satisfy the education requirements for the Project Manager?

Answer 1: Yes.

Question 2:Will a bachelor’s degree in Geology and a masters’ degree in Environmental Engineering satisfy the education requirements for Wetland Scientist/Specialist?

Answer 2: Yes.

Question 3:Will a Certified Wildlife Biologist with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science satisfy the education requirements for Threatened & Endangered Species Specialist?

Answer 3: Yes.

Question 4: Can a BS degree in Civil Engineering meet the qualification requirement for the Water Quality Specialist Task Leader in lieu of the BS degree in Environmental Sciences?

Answer 4: Yes.

Question 5: To clarify the experience requirement for the Project Manager and Task Leaders, can you verify if the notation regarding “up to a maximum of 6 years” is interpreted as work performed in the last 6 years (i.e., from 2009 through 2014) or it is 72 months of experience on the particular task which may have been gained in the last 10 or 15 years?

Answer 5: Experience for the project manager is 6 years no more no less. For Team leader the required experience is 5 years, no more, no less. That is full points are received at 6 years and 5 years, respectively. Experience need not be from within the most recent 5 or 6 years from the posting. Experience can go back twenty or more years. However, if only experience is from twenty, or more years ago brings up questions of knowledge and ability to perform the work under the current conditions and requirements.

Question 6: Will a Master’s in Ecology and a Bachelor’s in Biology satisfy the Natural Resources degree requirements for the Project Manager?

Answer 6: Yes.

Question 7: Water Quality Specialist—Can a BS Degree in Environmental Engineering satisfy the educational requirements in lieu of the BS in environmental science?

Answer 7: Yes.

Question 8: Hydro Geologist – Can a BS Degree in Environmental Engineering satisfy the educational requirements in lieu of the BS degree in geology or soil science?

Answer 8: Yes.

Question 9: Based on the requirements for the Water Quality Specialist, a “minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences” is necessary for this task leader. Will a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Resources Management (supplemented with an individual’s Rosgen Level IV Certification) be considered acceptable to satisfy that criteria?

Answer 9: Yes, provided experience indicates that this person conducts the required work for this role.

Question 10: Will a B.S. in Forest Management and an A.A.S. in Forestry satisfy the educational requirements for the Wetland/Scientist Specialist?

Answer 10: Yes.
