Question and Answer
For Current Technical Proposals


E-mail question(s) to the attention: Manager of Professional Services, Procurement.

Specify "TP # 051 question" in subject line. Email is now the preferred method of answering consultant's questions. It will expedite processing the request and posting the response. If your firm does not have access to email, you may fax your questions to 609-530-2212.

Questions will be accepted up to question cut-off date noted in the technical proposal.

TP-051


Question 1: An ACI-CCTC Certification for one of my inspectors indicates that the Cert expires in April 2015. Can you tell me till what date the Certification would be considered valid?

Answer 1: Until April 30, 2015.

Question 2: Part 4, Section 9 Team Leaders Qualifications requires an “ACI CERT” for a maximum of 3 Inspectors. However the white check box adjacent to the ACI Certified qualification is shown for all 4 Key Staff members. Can the ACI Certification be applied to any 3 of the 4 listed members?

Answer 2: In Part 4, Section 9 for TP051, the ACI certification requirement for inspector 4 should be eliminated.

Question 3: Are construction documents going to be made available for review for TP 051?

Answer 3: Plans can be found at the link below.

Question 4: In reference to Question # 3, please clarify if the contract plans and specifications for TP-51 will be available for review either electronically or in person. The link above only provides general information and conceptual graphics.

Answer 4: Plans were made available today (4/23/15) on BidX as this project has been advertised for construction.

Question 5: For Section 12, Key Issues and Critical Problems, Part (B) Field Inspection on Critical/Major/unique work items, can you be more specific about the subpart 4) “other” topic?

Answer 5: I cannot get into any specifics. It would be whatever the consultant feels would be pertinent.

Question 6: Will the supplemental specifications be made available for review for TP 051?

Answer 6: Yes, they can be found in BID X under the letting date for the project.

Question 7: In Section 12 of the Evaluation Form can you tell us what kind of system is called for in the construction contract documents regarding the Geo-Retaining Walls under Key Issue (B)?

Answer 7: It is a Proprietary Wire Wall. Description can be found in BID X as well.

Question 8: On the sample resume provided, regarding references, it states to “Use for KEY STAFF only. PROJECT MANAGER references shall be listed in Section 7 in the forms.” However, in the Instructions under Part 3 Project Manager Project Specific Requirements, Section 7 Past Performance of the Project Manager, Similar Projects it states “the Firm’s Project Manager should list the maximum number of similar projects (3) that were completed in the last 5 years or currently at least 50% complete, and highlight details of the projects in His/Her resume. A similar project shall include all of the Project Management experience that the NJDOT Consultant Contract Manager lists at the top of Part 3.REFERENCES ARE NOT TO BE SHOWN IN THE SIMILAR PROJECTS SECTION.”Would you please clarify.

Answer 8: The Project Manager lists the 3 similar projects as his references and scores a maximum of 12 points for each.
