For Current Technical Proposals

Technical Proposal


TP-059


Question 1: The project description states that the Scope of Work is for Final Design and Construction Engineering Services. However, the description for the Critical Path Model in Section 11 asks for a detailed Preliminary Design Schedule and milestones for Final Design. Please clarify.

Answer 1: The Critical Path Model should ask for detailed Final Design Schedule with milestones for Construction phase.

Question 2: Under Part 4 (Team Leader/Key Staff Project Specific Requirements), Section 10 requests experience on resumes “listing up to 3 similar projects”, and later says that “only the first 3 similar projects …will be evaluated”, but further down page under Number of Projects, it indicates to list “Up to 6 Projects”, so are resumes supposed to list up to 3 or 6 Projects?

Answer 2: You can list up to 6 projects but only 3 similar projects will be evaluated.

Question 3: Can the same Key Staff be proposed for Team Leader on Two Primary Tasks?

Answer 3: Yes.

Question 4: Can a Bachelor of Technology in Transportation with a NJ PE License fulfill the BS Engineering requirement for Utility Task Leader?

Answer 4: Bachelor of Technology in Transportation with a NJ PE License is ok.

Question 5: Would you please consider allowing 11” x 17” fold-outs for the schedule, the organizational chart, and the 2 extra pages

Answer 5: As per Part 5 requirement of 8 1/2”x11” sheets, the firm is allowed to use 11”x17” sheets instead.

Question 6: Can someone with a degree in geological engineering (BS, MS, PhD) and NJ Professional Engineer, practicing geotechnical/pavement/rock engineering/tunneling disciplines for more than 30 years meet all the requirements of the qualifications for the pavement design task leader?

Answer 6: No, the Pavement Design Task leader must have the qualifications listed on the Evaluation Criteria.
