For Current Technical Proposals

E-mail question(s) to the attention: Manager of Professional Services, Procurement. Specify "TP # 098 question" in subject line.

Technical Proposal

TP-#098

Question 1: Should all projects under TP-090 (Sign Structure Inspections), TP-091 (High Mast Light Pole Inspections), TP-092 (Dam Inspections) & TP-098 (Regular Bridge Inspections) be included in a single Project Preference Matrix?

Answer 1: Yes.

Question 2: Is the Project Preference Matrix on the website planned to be updated for use with the current Solicitations?

Answer 2: The updated spreadsheet is now on the web site.

Question 3: Are Dam and High Mast Light Pole Inspections Projects also considered “specialty projects”? Moreover, can a Consultant be selected for more than one (1) project under the four (4) Technical Proposal Solicitations with a maximum of one selection for each of the categories? For example, Can one Consultant be awarded a Sign Structure Inspection project and a Dam Inspection project within this current Solicitation group?

Question 3: Yes to all questions.

Question 4: When submitting documents for bid, what is the minimum scanning resolution we can use?

Answer 4: We recommend that a minimum of 400DPI be used when scanning documents for submission for Bridge and Structure Inspection projects. Anything less than this makes reading the documents very difficult. CLARIFICATION: If this resolution does not allow for a complete submission because file size restrictions in Bid Express, use the resolution that works for your firm. We do not want any firm to have an incomplete submission.

Question 5:  As part of our write up, should we assume all inspection reports will be generated within COMBIS?

Answer 5:  Essentially all reports will be created within CombIS. The only exception to this is when there is an unusual or complex structure that cannot be done in CombIS at this time.
