Question 1: Can two 11”x17” sheets be used in place of the two 8 ½” x 11” pages for the graphics?
Answer 1: Yes.
Question 2:
Please verify that a B-4 Bridge Design - Movable pre-qualification is not required for prime consultants responding to this solicitation.
Answer 2:
This is Concept Development (CD) and we have not selected the Initially Preferred Alternative (IPA), therefore, Movable pre-qualification is NOT required at this time.
Question 3:
Please verify that a detailed schedule for Concept Development is not required to be submitted under Section 11 - Critical Path Model in lieu of the stated detailed PE schedule.
Answer 3: A detailed schedule is not required at this time. A Milestone schedule is more appropriate for this CD phase.
Question 4: Why is it necessary for the Geotech Engineering Task Leader to have “Performed Pavement Design” when there is a separate task lead position for Pavement Design? Can this criteria be removed from the Geotech lead experience?
Answer 4: Yes, this criteria is not required for the Geotechnical Team Leader.
Question 5: Please clarify the statement in the RFP under “Geometrics” indicating that the existing roadway profile will be maintained. Since one of the alternatives is to consider a fixed high-level bridge, the roadway’s profile would have to be raised accordingly to achieve clearance over the navigable channel.
Answer 5:
Address this concern in the project approach section since there is no IPA at this time.
