Trns•port Software
Overview
Trns•port is a suite of software modules that supports the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) construction programs and is for use
by NJDOT, consultants and contractors. Developed by the
American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), more than 40 states use this software.
Trns•port manages the construction program from cost estimation through proposals, bids, awards and construction and materials management.
NJDOT has implemented the software modules for cost estimation (CES) ,
proposals and estimates (PES),
bidding (Expedite),
letting and awards (LAS) and SiteManager Construction (SMC). SiteManager is used for
field work, SMC will replace the currently used ACES. PES and LAS will be replaced by a Web Based program called web Trns*port in Summer 2012, and
a new module Civil Rights and Labor Management System (CRLMS) will be in place by Fall 2012. The State will also bring the materials (SiteManager)
module online in Fall 2012.
Consulting firms are required to use the cost estimation software to prepare detailed and long range estimates and contractors must use Expedite to
prepare and submit bids.
