Construction crews continue to work on the west abutment running parallel to Hoboken Avenue on the 14th Street Viaduct. This area was demolished and is being rebuilt to sustain the eventual widening of the viaduct.

Construction crews have demolished the deck and parapet along the right lane that was closed to traffic to make way for the widening of the 14th Street Viaduct.

Construction crews work on micropiles beneath Route 139. Micropiles are installed to strengthen the existing pile foundation of the 14th Street Viaduct.

Temporary shielding is used to protect motorists from construction debris. Crews have erected shielding plywood across the beams pictured here so that motorists can safetly travel through NJ Turnpike lanes beneath the viaducts.
