What's going on?
A. NJDOT is widening and dualizing five miles of Route 70 from Jack Martin Boulevard in Brick Township to the Brielle Circle in Wall Township, through six signalized intersections. We will also eliminate the Brielle Circle.

What will be improved?
A. The project will provide:
  • four travel lanes with shoulders, divided by a Jersey median barrier
  • jughandles and ramps at eight reconfigured, new signalized intersections to channel left- and U-turn traffic
  • minor modifications on Route 70 and side streets

When will this work be completed?
A. July 2001

What is the cost?
A. $22,270,799. 100% funded by the NJ Transportation Trust Fund

Who is the contractor?
A. A joint venture with A. Servidone/B. Anthony Construction Company.
