Routes 70 Project

Ocean and Monmouth County

Overview

The construction on this project has been completed

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is widening and dualizing five miles of Route 70. The project extends from its intersection with Jack Martin Boulevard in Brick Township in Ocean County to the Brielle Circle in Wall Township in Monmouth County.

The area's economic growth has resulted in a significant increase in traffic. This project has been designed to improve safety while optimizing capacity and making driving smoother for motorists.

NJDOT is making every effort to protect and improve the social, environmental and economic quality of the area.
