Construction of the record 440' main span continues. The post tensioning strand tendons are anchored at the web and check intersection. When stressing is complete the tendons are grouted for added protection from corrosion.

The twenty six pairs of tendons are used during the erection of the record 440' balanced cantilever. The pier segment is 21' deep and the main span segments vary in depth to 10' at the center. The pier table is anchored to the foundation by 10 vertical strand tendons.

The vertical tendons for the main span pier table are being post tensioned. When completed, the tendor anchors will be covered with a secondary pour to complete the diaphragm.

The closure joint has been cast between the pier table and the first balanced cantilever segment. The contractor tied the reinforcing for the secondary diaphragm pour prior to any additional segments being erected for the cantilever.
