State Rail Plan
Open Houses
The New Jersey Department of
Transportation (NJDOT) and NJ
TRANSIT invited the public to
share
their ideas and opinions in the development of New Jersey's
State Rail Plan.
Three open houses were held
on Thursday,
March 1; Tuesday, March
6 and Wednesday, March 7, 2012
in the northern, central and
southern areas of New Jersey.
During these sessions, there
were opportunities to meet with
NJDOT and NJ TRANSIT officials
to learn more about the state's
passenger and freight railroads,
share views, and discuss potential
improvements and funding requirements.
New Jersey's partner states, agencies
and private railroads are also
involved in the development of the
State Plan. |
