Crash Records
Important File Association Notes
All fields are described in the file layouts. For the 2001 and 2002 data there are separate tables for accident, driver,
pedestrian and occupant they are not separate crash records. If necessary these tables can be linked by the first fields
(Year, County Code-Municipality Code, Department Case Number).
The File layouts have been modified with additional information to coincide with the NJTR-1 form. You will notice that
on the right of each file layout is a Code Column this is a corresponding number that coincides with the Field on the
NJTR-1 Form.
Please note that the File Layouts are different for 2001-2002 than 1997-2000. You must use the appropriate file layout
for the appropriate raw data year.
