Restricted Parking and Stopping


Route NJ 10

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 10 described in this section are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30.  In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected to notify the motoring public.

1.

In Morris County:

i. In the Township of Roxbury:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii.  In the Township of Randolph:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iii.  In the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) From the centerline of Littleton Road to a point 1,550 feet west of the centerline of Littleton Road.

iv. In the Borough of Morris Plains:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Within the entire corporate limits, (from the DL & West Railroad to Johnson Road) including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

v. In the Township of Hanover:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound side:

(A) From the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township-Hanover Township corporate line to a point 2,900 feet east of the center line of Troy Hills Road, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the westbound side:

(A) From the East Hanover Township-Hanover Township corporate line to the Hanover Township Parsippany-Troy Hills Township corporate line including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

vi.  In the Township of East Hanover:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

2.

In Essex County:

i. In the Township of Livingston:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) From the Morris County-Essex County corporate line to the westerly curb line of South Ashby Avenue.

(B) From the easterly curb line of Mitchell Avenue to the westerly curb line of Sherbrooke Parkway.

(C) From the easterly curb line of Sherbrooke Parkway to the westerly curb line of Shrewsbury Drive.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) From the westerly curb line of Tiffany Drive to the Essex County-Morris County corporate line.

(3)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) East Mount Pleasant Avenue - From the boundary line of the Township of West Orange and the Township of Livingston to the boundary line of Livingston Township and East Hanover Township.

(B) West Mount Pleasant Avenue - From the boundary line of the Township of West Orange and the Township of Livingston to the boundary line of Livingston Township and East Hanover Township.

ii.  In the Township of West Orange:

(1)

No parking along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Between station 259+0 and station 243+0, from a point 317 feet west of, to a point 1,917 feet west of the centerline of Pleasant Valley Road.  (A distance of 1,600 feet)

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 10 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking" bus stop zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

1.

In Morris County:

i.  In the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Powder Mill Road - Beginning at a point 35 feet west of the westerly curb line of Powder Mill Road and extending 85 feet westerly therefrom.

(2)

Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Yacenda Drive – Beginning at the easterly curbline of Yacenda Drive and extending to a point 100 feet easterly therefrom.

(3)

Far side bus stop along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Powder Mill Road - Beginning at a point 35 feet west of the westerly curb line of Powder Mill Road and extending 75 feet westerly therefrom.

2.

In Essex County:

i. In the Township of Livingston:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Hillside Avenue (100 feet)

(B) Broadlawn Drive (100 feet)

(2)

Mid-block bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Between points 50 feet east of, and 185 feet east of the easterly curb line of Walnut Street (135 feet).

(B) Between points 215 feet east of, and 350 feet east of the easterly curb line of South Livingston Avenue (135 feet)

(3)

Far side bus stops along westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Tiffany Drive (100 feet)

(B) North Livingston Avenue (100 feet)

(C) Hillside Avenue (100 feet)

(D) Walnut Street (100 feet)
