Restricted Parking and Stopping


Route US 1 & 9 Truck

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 1 & 9 (Truck) described in this section are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30.  In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected to notify the motoring public.

1.

In Essex County:

i. In the City of Newark:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

2.

In Hudson County:

i. In The Town of Kearny:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length Within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii. In the City of Jersey City:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 1 & 9 (Truck) described in this subsection are designated and established as bus stops where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following bus stops.

1.

In Hudson County:

i. In The Town of Kearny:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Hackensack Avenue - beginning at the easterly curb line of Hackensack Avenue and extending 105 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Mid-Block bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Between Hackensack Avenue and Route NJ 440 - beginning 85 feet east of the easterly curb line of Hackensack Avenue and extending 135 feet easterly therefrom.
