Restricted Parking and Stopping


Route US 202

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 202 described in this subsection are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30. In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected.

1.

In Hunterdon County:

Note: State Highway Route US 202 is under the jurisdiction of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission from mileposts 0.00 (Delaware River) to 0.35 (State Highway Route NJ 29).

Note: State Highway Route US 202 is coincident with State Highway Route NJ 31 from mileposts 5.70 to 11.44.

i. In the Township of East Amwell:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between 1,035 feet south of County Road 514 and 1,050 feet north of County Road 514 (approximate milepost 7.18).

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between 1,190 feet north of Route NJ 179 and 880 feet south of Route NJ 179 (approximate milepost 6.70).

ii. In the Township of Raritan:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) From the center line of Toad Lane to the Township of Raritan – Borough of Flemington corporate line.

(3)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From the Township of Raritan – Borough of Flemington corporate line to the center line of Toad Lane.

iii. In the Borough of Flemington:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) From the Borough of Flemington – Township of Raritan corporate line to a point 1,225 feet north of the center line of Reaville Avenue, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From a point 700 feet north of the center line of Reaville Avenue to the Borough of Flemington – Township of Raritan corporate line, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv. In the Township of Readington:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

In Somerset County:

Note: State Highway Route US 202 is coincident with State Highway Route US 206 from mileposts 24.43 to 31.51.

i. In the Township of Branchburg:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii. In the Township of Bridgewater:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits where US 202 and US 206 are coincident, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iii. In the Borough of Raritan:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv. In the Township of Bedminster:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

v. In the Borough of Far Hills:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between a point 50 feet south of Liberty Corner Road intersection and the Far Hills Borough-Bernardsville Borough corporate line.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

vi. In the Borough of Bernardsville:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Mine Brook Road):

(A) From a point 64 feet south of the southerly curb line of Mt. Airy Road to the southerly curb line of Mt. Airy Road.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Mine Brook Road):

(A) From the Far Hills-Bernardsville corporate line, to the southerly curb line of Chilton Street.

(B) From the point where the Claremont Road northerly curb return meets the northerly curb of Mine Brook Road, to a point 25 feet along the curb, measured in a northerly direction.

(C) From a point 25 feet south from the southerly curb line of Quimby Lane, to the southerly curb line of Quimby Lane.

(D) From the northerly curb line of Quimby Lane, to a point 25 feet measured along the curb in a northerly direction.

(E) From a point 69 feet south of the southerly curb line of Olcott Square, to the southerly curb of Olcott Square.

(3)

No stopping or standing along Mt. Airy Road:

(A) On the east side, from the southeasterly curb line of Olcott Square to a point 65 feet measured in a southerly direction.

(4)

No stopping or standing along Olcott Square:

(A) On the entire southeasterly side of Olcott Square.

(B) On the northeast side of Olcott Square, from a point 459 feet south of the southerly curb line of Wesley Avenue, for a distance of 64 feet along the northwest curb of the Square, measured in a southeasterly direction.

(C) On the west side of Olcott Square, from the southerly curb line of Mill Street, for a distance of 25 feet measured in a southerly direction.

(D) On the west side of Olcott Square, from the northerly curb line of Mine Brook Road, for a distance of 45 feet measured in a northerly direction.

(5)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Morristown Road):

(A) From Olcott Square on the south, to the Bernardsville Borough-Bernards Township corporate line on the north.

(6)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Morristown Road):

(A) From the Bernards Township-Bernardsville Borough corporate line on the north, to a point 280 feet south of the southerly curb line of Church Street on the south.

(B) From the northern edge of the crosswalk at the merging of Olcott Square and Morristown Road, for a distance of 25 feet measured in a northerly direction.

(C) From the southern edge of the aforementioned crosswalk, for a distance of 25 feet measured in a southerly direction.

3.

In Morris County:

Note: State Highway Route US 202 is under the jurisdiction of the County of Morris from approximate mileposts 46.99 to 50.05, 50.62 to 51.42, and 51.82 to 62.95.

i. In the Township of Harding:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between the Passaic River and the intersection of Glen Alpine Road.

ii. In the Township of Morris:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Beginning at a point 1,450 feet north of the northerly curb line of Blackwell Ave. and extending 1,300 feet northerly.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) From a point 170 feet south of the center line of Mill Road to the center line of Kennedy Road.

(B) From the center line of Gregory Avenue to the center line of East Hanover Avenue.

(3)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From the center line of West Hanover Avenue to the center line of Fairchild Avenue.

(B) From the center line of Sherman Avenue to a point 170 feet south of the center line of Mill Road.

(C) Beginning at the northerly curb line of Skyline Drive to a point 200 feet northerly therefrom.

iii. In the Town of Morristown:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Mount Kemble Avenue):

(A) From the Morris Township-Town of Morristown corporate line to Colles Avenue.

(B) From a point 300 feet south of the southerly curb line of Macculloch Avenue to a point 310 feet north of the northerly curb line of Macculloch Avenue.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Market Street):

(A) From a point 40 feet south of the southerly curb line of Maple Avenue to West Park Place.

(3)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (westerly) side (Market Street):

(A) From its intersection with Bank Street and Mount Kemble Avenue to a point 270 feet north therefrom.

(4)

No stopping or standing along both sides (East Park Place):

(A) Entire length.

(5)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Speedwell Avenue):

(A) From East Park Place to a point 180 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of High Street.

(B) From the prolongation of the northerly curb line of High Street to a point 100 feet south of the southerly curb line of Orchard Street.

(C) From the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Frederick Street to the Morristown-Morris Township corporate line.

(6)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Speedwell Avenue):

(A) From the Morris Township-Morristown corporate line to the northerly curb line of Speedwell Place.

(B) From a point 450 feet south of the southerly curb line of Henry Street to a point 175 feet south of the southerly curb line of Sussex Avenue.

(C) From the northerly curb line of Early Street to a point 165 feet northerly therefrom.

(D) From the southerly curb line of Early Street to a point 270 feet southerly therefrom.

(7)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Bank Street-Mount Kemble Avenue):

(A) From West Park Place to the Morristown-Morris Township corporate line.

(8)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (easterly) side (Bank Street):

(A) From West Park Place to a point 110 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) From the prolongation of the southerly curb of Ann Street to Market Street-Mount Kemble Avenue.

iv. In the Borough of Morris Plains:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) From a point 200 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Hanover Avenue to the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Rosedale Avenue.

(B) From a point 100 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Academy Road to the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Morris Plain Avenue.

(C) From a point 220 feet south of the southerly curb line of Allen Place to a point 135 feet east of the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Route N.J. 53 (Tabor Road).

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From a point 150 feet east of the easterly curb line of Route N.J. 53 (Tabor Road) to Franklin Place.

(B) From the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Glennbrook Road to a point 500 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Glennbrook Road.

(C) From the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Rosedale Avenue to a point 120 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Hanover Avenue.

4.

In Passaic County:

Note: State Highway Route US 202 is under the jurisdiction of the County of Passaic from approximate mileposts 65.37 to 70.54.

Note: State Highway Route US 202 is coincident with State Highway Route NJ 23 from mileposts 62.95 to 65.07.

5.

In Bergen County:

Note: State Highway Route US 202 is under the jurisdiction of the County of Bergen from approximate mileposts 70.54 to 72.36 and 72.69 to 80.31 (New York State Line).

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 202 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199 permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established loading zones:

1.

In Morris County:

i. In the Town of Morristown:

(1)

No parking loading zones along the northbound (easterly) side (Speedwell Avenue) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

(A) From a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Orchard Street to a point 65 feet southerly therefrom.

(2)

No parking loading zones along the southbound (westerly) side (Speedwell Avenue) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

(A) From a point 107 feet south of the southerly curb line of Clinton Place to a point 50 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) From a point 452 feet south of the southerly curb line of Clinton Place to point 50 feet southerly therefrom.

(c)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 202 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199 permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

1.

In Somerset County:

i. In the Borough of Bernardsville:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side (Mine Brook Road):

(A) Depot Square - beginning at the northerly curb line of Depot Square and extending 100 feet northerly therefrom.

2.

In Morris County:

i. In the Township of Morris:

(1)

Mid-Block bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side (Mount Kemble Avenue):

(A) Between Byron Avenue and Skyline Drive - beginning 54 feet south of the southerly curb line of Byron Avenue and extending 120 feet southerly therefrom.

ii. In the Borough of Morris Plains:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Hanover Avenue - beginning at the northerly curb line of Hanover Avenue and extending to a point 200 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Academy Road - beginning at the northerly curb line of Academy Road and extending to a point 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(C) Morris Plains Avenue - beginning at the northerly curb line of Morris Plains Avenue and extending to a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(2)

Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Glenbrook Road - beginning at the northerly curb line of Glenbrook Road and extending to a point 120 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Hillview Avenue - beginning at the northerly curb line of Hillview Avenue and extending to a point 120 feet northerly therefrom.

(C) Hanover Avenue - beginning at the northerly curb line of Hanover Avenue and extending to a point 120 feet northerly therefrom.

(3)

Far side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Franklin Place - beginning at the southerly curb line of Franklin Place and extending to a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.

3.

In Passaic County:

i. In the Township of Wayne:

(1)

Mid-Block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between New York Avenue and Sleepy Hollow Drive  – Beginning at a point 75 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of New York Avenue and extending 135 feet northerly therefrom.

(d)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 202 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "Time Limit Parking" zones. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established Time Limit Parking zones:

1.

In Somerset County:

i. In the Borough of Bernardsville:

(1)

Ten (10) minute time limit parking along the southbound (westerly) side at all times:

(A) Quimbly Lane - beginning at a point thirty five (35) feet north of the northerly curb line of Quimby Lane and extending to a point twenty (20) feet northerly therefrom.

(2)

One half-hour time limit parking along the northbound (easterly) side from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

(A) Mount Airy Road - from a point 64 feet south of the southerly curb line of Mount Airy Road and extending 80 feet southerly therefrom.

(3)

One half-hour time limit parking along the southbound (westerly) side from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

(A) Church Street - beginning at a point 391 feet south of the southerly curb line of Church Street to a point 40 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) Anderson Hill Road - from a point 178 feet south of the southerly curb line of Anderson Hill Road and extending 100 feet southerly therefrom.

(4)

Two hour time limit parking along the northbound (easterly) side from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

(A) From a point 158 feet south of the southerly curb line of Mount Airy Road to the northerly curb line of Depot Square.

(5)

Two hour time limit parking along the southbound (westerly) side from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

(A) Church Street - beginning at a point 313 feet south of the southerly curb line of Church Street to a point 78 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) Anderson Hill Road - from a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Anderson Hill Road and extending 143 feet southerly therefrom.

(C) From a point 278 feet south of the southerly curb line of Anderson Hill Road to a point 400 feet south of the southerly curb line of Claremont Road.

2.

In Morris County:

i. In the Borough of Morris Plains:

(1)

Thirty (30) minute time limit parking along the southbound (westerly)  (Speedwell Avenue) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM:

(A) From a point 105 feet south of the southerly curb line of Franklin Place to a point 35 feet north of the prolongated northerly curb line of Allen Place.

(B) Franklin Place - from a point 359 feet south of the southerly curb line of Franklin Place to a point 428 feet southerly therefrom.

(e)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 202 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no stopping or standing during certain hours" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times except as specified below. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established "no stopping or standing during certain hours" zones:

1.

In Somerset County:

i. In the Borough of Bernardsville:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Where parking is not prohibited at all times between the hours of 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM.

(B) From the northerly curb line of Woodland Road to a point 1,420 feet northerly therefrom, from 2:00 AM to 9:00 AM Friday only.

2.

In Morris County:

i. In the Township of Morris

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM:

(A) From the center line of Kennedy Road to the center line of Gregory Avenue.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM:

(A) Sherman Avenue - from the center of Sherman Avenue to a point 150 feet northerly therefrom.

ii. In the Town of Morristown:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Bank Street) from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM:

(A) From a point 110 feet south of the southerly curb line of West Park Place to a point 35 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Ann Street.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Speedwell Avenue) from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM and from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM:

(A) From the northerly curb line of Orchard Street to the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Frederick Street.

(3)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Speedwell Avenue) from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM:

(A) From a point 145 feet south of the southerly curb line of Frederick Street to a point 375 feet south of the southerly curb line of Walker Avenue.

(B) From a point 100 feet south of the southerly curb line of Cutler Street to a point 450 feet south of the southerly curb line of Henry Street.

(C) From a point 270 feet south of the southerly curb line of Early Street to Park Place.

(4)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Speedwell Avenue) between 6:30 PM and 9:00 AM, Sunday through Saturday, including Holidays:

(A) From a point 175 feet south of the southerly curb line of Sussex Avenue and extending to a point 165 feet north of Early Street.

iii. In the Borough of Morris Plains:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM:

(A) From the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Rosedale Avenue to the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Academy Road.

(B) From a point 105 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Morris Plains Avenue to the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Allen Place.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM:

(A) From a point 500 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Glennbrook Road to a point 120 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Hillview Avenue.

(B) From the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Hillview Avenue to the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Rosedale Avenue.

(C) From a point 105 feet south of the southerly curb line of Franklin Place to a point 35 feet north of the prolongated northerly curb line of Allen Place.

(D) From a point 359 feet south of the southerly curb line of Franklin Place to a point 428 feet south therefrom.

(f)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 202 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "restricted parking spaces" for the use of persons who have been issued special vehicle identification cards by the Division of Motor Vehicles in accordance with NJSA 39:4-197.5. Under the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established handicapped parking spaces.

In Morris County:

i. In the Town of Morristown:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 203 feet south of the southerly curb line of Dumont Place and extending 22 feet southerly therefrom.

(2)

Handicapped parking along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 42 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of East Park Place and extending 22 feet southerly therefrom.

(g)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 202 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "Emergency Stopping Only" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times except as provided in NJSA 39:4-138.1.

In Hunterdon County:

i. In the Township of East Amwell:

(1)

Emergency stopping only along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 1570 feet north of Wertsville Road (CR 602) and extending to a point 2170 feet northerly therefrom.
