Restricted Parking and Stopping


Route NJ 38

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 38 described in this section are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30.  In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected to notify the motoring public.

In Burlington County:

i. In the Township of Maple Shade:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions (approximate mileposts 4.4 to 6.1).

ii. In the Township of Mount Laurel:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions (approximate mileposts 8.86 to 12.49).

iii. In the Township of Lumberton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv.  In the Township of Mount Holly:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(b)

The certain parts of State highway Route NJ 38 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

1.

In Camden County:

i. In the Township of Pennsauken:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) State Highway Route NJ 70 overpass - Beginning at the easterly curb line of the State Highway Route NJ 70 overpass and extending 100 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Mid-block bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Burwood Avenue – Beginning at a point 765 feet west of the westerly curb line of Burwood Avenue and extending 135 feet westerly therefrom.

(3)

Near side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Sinkinson Avenue - Beginning at the easterly curb line of Sinkinson Avenue and extending 105 feet easterly therefrom.

(4)

Mid-block bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Burwood Avenue - Beginning 750 feet west of the westerly curb line of Burwood Avenue and extending 135 feet westerly therefrom.

ii. In the Township of Cherry Hill:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Mall Drive - Beginning at the easterly curb line of Mall Drive and extending 179 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Far side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Chestnut Street - Beginning at the westerly curb line of Chestnut Street and extending 135 feet westerly therefrom.
