Restricted Parking and Stopping


Route US 46

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 46 described in this subsection are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs will be erected.

1.

In Warren County:

i. In the Township of Knowlton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) From a point 350 feet south of the southerly curb line of Walnut Road to a point 970 feet north of the northerly curb line of Walnut Road.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) From the center line of Roy-Ace Avenue, to the center line of Clarence Street.

(B) Between points 600 feet south of and 100 feet north of the center line of Clinton Street.

ii. In the Township of White:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) From the easterly curb line of Serepta Road to a point 1,200 feet west of the westerly curb line of Route NJ 31.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) From a point 220 feet east of the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Route NJ 31 to the easterly curb line of Serepta Road.

iii. In the Township of Independence:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv. In the Town of Hackettstown:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) From a point 100 feet west of the westerly curb line of Stiger Street to a point 75 feet east of the easterly curb line of Stiger Street.

(B) From a point 40 feet west of the prolongation of the westerly curb line of Liberty Street to a point 30 feet east of the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Liberty Street.

(C) From the easterly curb line of Grand Avenue to a point 110 feet east of the easterly curb line of Grand Avenue.

(D) Beginning at the westerly curb line of Grand Avenue and extending 75 feet westerly therefrom.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) From the westerly curb line of Bergen Street to a point 100 feet west of the westerly curb line of Stiger Street.

2.

In Morris County:

i. In the Township of Mount Olive:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) From the Washington Township – Mount Olive Township corporate line (approximate milepost 22.18) to the Musconetcong River (approximate milepost 21.83).

(2)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) From the easterly curb line of Old Wolfe Road to the westerly curb line of Woodsedge Avenue-Sand Shore Road.

(B) From the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Spring Street to the westerly curb line of Gold Mine Road.

(C) From the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Elizabeth Lane to a point 150 feet east of the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Village Way.

(3)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) From a point 1,250 feet east of the easterly curb line of Village Way to the easterly curb line of Elizabeth Lane.

(B) From the westerly curb line of New Street to the easterly curb line of Spring Street.

(C) From a point 550 feet east of the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Hillside Terrace to the easterly curb line of Manor House Road.

ii.  In the Township of Washington:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) From the Mount Olive Township – Washington Township corporate line (approximate milepost 22.18) to a point 800 feet east of Mine Brook (approximate milepost 22.78).

iii. In the Borough of Netcong:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv. In the Township of Roxbury:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

v.  In the Township of Mine Hill:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Between points 3,000 feet west of, and 100 feet east of the center line of William Street.

(B) Between a point 700 feet west of the westerly side of Randall Street and the easterly corporate line of Wharton Borough – Town of Dover and Mine Hill Township.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Between the easterly corporate line of Wharton Borough – Town of Dover – Mine Hill Township and the westerly curb line of Randall Street.

(B) Between points 200 feet west of, and 3,000 feet east of the center line of William street.

vi.  In the Town of Dover:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

vii.  In the Township of Rockaway:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between the intersection of George Street and a point 88 feet east of the intersection of West Main Street.

viii.  In the Borough of Rockaway:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ix.  In the Township of Denville:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

x. In the Borough of Mountain Lakes:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) No stopping or standing within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

xi. In the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

xii. In the Township of Montville:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

In Essex County:

i. In the Township of Fairfield:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

In Passaic County:

i. In the Township of Wayne:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii. In the Township of Little Falls:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Beginning at Lower Notch Road and extending westerly to the Totowa Borough – Little Falls Township corporate line.

iii. In the City of Clifton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation, except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Between a point 184 feet west of the westerly curb line of Martha Avenue and the intersection of Hazel Street.

5.

In Bergen County:

i. In the Borough of Elmwood Park:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(B) From River Drive to the Elmwood Park Borough - City of Garfield corporate line.

ii.  In the Borough of Lodi:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between Main Street and Money Street.

iii. In the Village of Ridgefield Park:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv. In the Borough of Ridgefield:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

v.  In the Borough of Palisades Park:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between the intersections of East Homestead Avenue and Oakdene Avenue.

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 46 described in this subsection are designated and established as "no parking bus stop" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

In Warren County:

i. In the Town of Hackettstown:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Moore Street (125 feet)

(2)

Far side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Moore Street (115 feet)

2.

In Morris County:

i. In the Township of Denville:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Franklin Road - Beginning at the easterly curb line of Franklin Road and extending 220 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Near side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Franklin Road - Beginning at the easterly curb line of Franklin Road and extending 150 feet easterly therefrom.

ii.  In the Borough of Mountain Lakes:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Beginning at the prolongation of the westerly curb line of Mountain Lakes Boulevard and extending 105 feet westerly therefrom.

iii. In the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Parsippany Boulevard - beginning at the easterly curb line of Parsippany Boulevard and extending 200 feet easterly therefrom.

(B) Baldwin Road - beginning at the easterly curb line of Baldwin Road and extending 100 feet easterly therefrom.

(C) South Beverwyck Road - beginning at the easterly side of South Beverwyck Road and extending 100 feet easterly therefrom.

(E) Holiday Inn Driveway – Shopping Center Driveway (approximate milepost 49.02) - beginning at a point 126 feet from the easterly curb line of the Holiday Inn Driveway and extending 100 feet easterly therefrom.

(A) New Road - beginning at the easterly curb line of New Road and extending 200 feet easterly therefrom.

(3)

Far side bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(B) North Beverwyck Road - beginning at the westerly curb line of North Beverwyck Road and extending 220 feet westerly therefrom.

(D) Holiday Inn Driveway – Shopping Center Driveway (approximate milepost 49.02) - beginning at a point 65 feet from the westerly curb line of the Shopping Center Driveway and extending 100 feet westerly there from.

Mid-block bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Between Crown Point Road and the Holiday Inn Driveway – Shopping Center Driveway (approximate milepost 49.02) - beginning at a point 1,385 feet from the easterly curb line of Crown Point Road and extending 135 feet easterly there from.

(B) Between Edwards Road Ramp and North Beverywck Road - Beginning at a point 3,693 feet west of the westerly curb line of the Edwards Road Ramp and extending 135 feet westerly therefrom.

iv. In the Township of Montville:

(1)

Mid-block bus stop along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Between Hook Mountain Road and Chapin Road East - beginning at a point 300 feet east of the easterly curb line of Hook Mountain Road and extending to a point 135 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Mid-block bus stops along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Change Bridge Road - Beginning at a point 246 feet west of the westerly curb line of Change Bridge Road and extending 135 feet westerly therefrom.

In Essex County:

i. In the Borough of Fairfield:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Route NJ 159 (Clinton Road) -  beginning at the easterly curb line of the Clinton Road jug handle and extending 150 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Mid-block bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Gately overpass bridge between Clinton Road and Horseneck Road - beginning 15 feet west of the westerly wall abutment of the bridge overpass and continuing 135 feet westerly therefrom.

(B) Horseneck Road Bridge overpass - beginning 15 feet east of the easterly wall abutment of the bridge overpass and continuing 135 feet easterly therefrom.

(C) Hollywood Avenue bridge overpass - beginning 15 feet east of the easterly wall abutment of the bridge overpass and continuing 135 feet easterly therefrom.

(c)

The certain parts of Route US 46 described in this subsection are designated and established as a “Restricted Parking Zone” for the use of persons who have been issued special vehicle identification cards by the Motor Vehicle Commission. No other person shall be permitted in these area and in accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198 permission is granted to erect the appropriate signs at the following parking spaces:

In Passaic County:

i. In the City of Clifton:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 115 feet east of the easterly curb line of Martha Avenue and extending to a point 22 feet easterly therefrom. (In front 528 Route US 46 (Piaget Avenue)).
