Route NJ 49

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 49 described in this subsection are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30. In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected.

1.

In Salem County:

i. In the Township of Pennsville:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (northerly) side:

(A) Between Route US 130 and Benson Avenue (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 1.23).

(B) Between the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Fairview Avenue and a point 100 feet east of Jenkins Avenue (approximate mileposts 1.36 to 1.47).

(C) Between the easterly curb line of Lakeview Avenue and Main Street (approximate mileposts 1.93 to 2.34).

(2)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Between Main Street and Chestnut Street (approximate mileposts 2.34 to 2.43).

(B) Beginning at a point 380 feet east of the easterly curb line of Chestnut Street to a point 175 feet easterly therefrom.

(C) Between the easterly curb line of Zane Street and a point 300 feet east of Fort Mott Road (approximate mileposts 2.62 to 3.50).

(D) Between the easterly curb line of West Drive and a point 310 feet west of Cordrey Avenue (approximate mileposts 3.61 to 3.72).

(A) Between Main Street and Parkwood Road (approximate mileposts 2.34 to 2.1).

(B) Beginning at a point 100 feet east of the easterly curb line of Oliver Avenue and Maple Avenue (approximate mileposts 1.92 to 1.50).

(C) Between the prolongation of the westerly curb line of Benson Avenue and North Road (approximate mileposts 1.33 to 1.00).

(D) Between the westerly curb line of Churchtown Road and Route US 130 (approximate mileposts 0.88 to 0.00).

ii. In the City of Salem:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Between the Pennsville Township-Salem City corporate line and Griffith Street (approximate mileposts 8.26 to 8.35).

(B) Between the the Route NJ 49-Tilbury Road-Park Drive intersection and a point 105 feet east of the Route NJ 49-Tilbury Road-Park Drive intersection (approximate mileposts 8.5 to 8.52).

(C) Beginning at a point 50 feet west of the westerly curb line of Route NJ 45 to a point 50 feet east of the easterly curb line of Route NJ 45.

(D) Beginning at a point 40 feet west of the westerly curb line of Walnut Street to a point 40 feet east of the easterly curb line of Walnut Street.

(E) Beginning at a point 165 feet west of the center line of Keasbey Street-Yorke Street to a point 200 feet east of the center line of Keasbey Street-Yorke Street.

(A) From West Avenue, westerly, to the City of Bridgeton – Township of Hopewell corporate line.

(B) Beginning 180 feet east of the easterly curb line of South Giles Street to a point 250 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Beginning at the easterly curb line of Lawrence Street and extending 280 feet easterly therefrom (approximate milepost 25.0).

(3)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) From West Avenue to Lawrence Street.

(A) From a point 110 feet east of the easterly curb line of Hesstown Road (CR 644) to a point 825 feet east of the easterly curb line of Hesstown Road (CR 644).

(3)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) From a point 110 feet east of the easterly curb line of Hesstown Road (CR 644) to a point 695 feet east of the easterly curb line of Hesstown Road (CR 644).

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 49 described herein below shall be and hereby are designated and established as "no parking" zones for cleaning purposes during certain designated days and hours except as provided in NJSA 39:4-139.

1.

In Cumberland County:

i. In the City of Bridgeton:

(1)

No parking (street cleaning) along the westbound (northerly) side from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Monday:

(A) Between Pearl Street and the Bridgeton City-Fairfield Township corporate line.

(2)

No parking (street cleaning) along the eastbound (southerly) side from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Tuesday:

(A) Between Pearl Street and the Bridgeton City-Fairfield Township corporate line.

(3)

No parking (street cleaning) along the westbound (northerly) side from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Wednesday:

(A) Between Atlantic Street and West Commerce Street Extension.

(4)

No parking (street cleaning) along the eastbound (southerly) side from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Thursday:

(A) Between Atlantic Street and West Commerce Street Extension.

(c)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 49 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking bus stop" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

In Salem County:

i. In the Township of Pennsville:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the eastbound (northerly) side:

(A) Jenkins Avenue - Beginning at the easterly curb line of Jenkins Avenue and extending 105 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Near side bus stops along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Chestnut Street - Beginning at the westerly curb line of Chestnut Street and extending 105 feet westerly therefrom.

(d)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 49 described in this subsection are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" during certain hours zones where parking is prohibited as specified, except where other parking restrictions apply. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established zones:

1.

In Salem County:

i. In the City of Salem:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday:

(A) Between the easterly curb line of Oak Street and a point 50 feet west of Route NJ 45 (Market-New Market Street).

(B) Between a point 50 feet east of the easterly curb line of Route NJ 45 (Market-New Market Street) and a point 50 feet west of the westerly curb line of Walnut Street.

(C) Between a point 50 feet east of the easterly curb line of Walnut Street and the westerly curb line of Ninth Street.

(3)

No stopping or standing along the westbound (northerly) side from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday:

(A) Between the westerly curb line of Ninth Street and a point 110 feet east of the easterly curb line of Route NJ 45 (Market-New Market Street).

(B) Between a point 50 feet west of the westerly curb line of Route NJ 45 (Market-New Market Street) and the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Oak Street.

2.

In Cumberland County:

i. In the City of Bridgeton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM:

(A) Between Pearl Street and Atlantic Street.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the eastbound (southerly) side from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday:

(A) From the intersection of West Avenue to the intersection of Lawrence Street.

(e)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 49 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as restricted parking space, for the use of persons who have been issued Special Vehicle Identification Cards by the Division of Motor Vehicles. No other person shall be permitted to park in these areas. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established handicapped parking spaces:

In Salem County:

i. In the Township of Pennsville:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 200 feet west of the westerly curb line of Cordrey Avenue and a point 110 feet westerly therefrom.

ii. In the City of Salem:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 435 feet east of the easterly curb line of the Route NJ 49-Tilbury Road-Park Drive intersection to a point 22 feet easterly therefrom.

(B) Beginning at a point 660 feet east of the easterly curb line of the Route NJ 49-Tilbury Road-Park Drive intersection to a point 22 feet easterly therefrom.

(C) Beginning at a point 70 feet west of the westerly curb line of Elm Street and extending 20 feet westerly therefrom.

(D) Beginning at a point 170 feet east of the prolongation of the easterly curb line of Route NJ 45 (Market Street) and extending to a point 23 feet easterly therefrom. (In front of 197 East Broadway, pursuant to NJSA 39: 4 – 197.6).

(2)

Handicapped parking along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 215 feet west of the westerly curb line of Johnson Street and extending to a point 25 feet westerly therefrom. (In front of 294 East Broadway, pursuant to NJSA 39:4 – 197.6).

(B) Beginning at a point 240 feet west of the westerly curb line of Johnson Street and extending to a point 23 feet westerly therefrom. (In front of 292 East Broadway, pursuant to NJSA 39:4 – 197.6).

(C) Beginning at a point 80 feet west of the westerly curb line of Johnson Street and extending to a point 25 feet westerly therefrom. (In front of 302 East Broadway, pursuant to NJSA 39:4 – 197.6).

(D) Beginning at a point 165 feet east of the easterly curb line of Seventh Street and extending to a point 22 feet easterly therefrom. (In front of 266 East Broadway, pursuant to NJSA 39:4 – 197.6).

2.

In Cumberland County:

i. In the City of Bridgeton:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 235 feet east of the easterly curb line of Lawrence Street and extending to a point 22 feet easterly therefrom. (In front of 187 West Broad Street, pursuant to NJSA 39:4-197.6).

ii. In the City of Millville:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 118 feet east of the easterly curb line of 5th Street and extending to a point 22 feet easterly therefrom.

(2)

Handicapped parking along the westbound (northerly) side:

(A) Beginning 35 feet from the easterly curb line of North 6th Street to a point 57 feet easterly therefrom.

(f)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 49 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "time limit parking" zones where parking is prohibited at all times except as specified below. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established time limit parking zones:

In Cumberland County:

i. In the City of Bridgeton:

(1)

Fifteen (15) minute time limit parking along the westbound (northerly) side at all times, Sunday through Saturday, including holidays:

(A) Beginning at a point 50 feet west of the westerly curb line of Atlantic Street and extending 44 feet westerly therefrom.

(g)

The certain parts of Route NJ 49 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking loading zone" where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established loading zones:

In Salem County:

i. In the Township of Pennsville:

(1)

Loading zones along the eastbound (southerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 35 feet west of the westerly curb line of Cordrey Avenue and a point 200 feet westerly therefrom.
