Traffic Regulations

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 9W described in this section are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30.  In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected to notify the motoring public.

In Bergen County:

i.  In the Borough of Alpine:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between a point 1,000 feet north of Hillside Avenue and a point 1,000 feet south of Hillside Avenue.

(2)

No stopping or standing along both sides between the hours of 7 P.M. and 7 A.M. daily:

(A) Between points 1,000 feet south and 1,000 feet north of the pedestrian bridge at milepost 9.7.

(3)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between a point 500 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Closter Dock road and extending 1,500 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Closter Dock Road.

(4)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between a point 1,000 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Closter Dock Road and extending 1,000 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Closter Dock Road.

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 9W described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking bus stop" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA. 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

In Bergen County:

i.  In the Borough of Fort Lee:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Linwood Avenue – Beginning at the southerly curb line of Linwood Avenue and extending 155 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) Washington Avenue – Beginning at the southerly curb line of Washington Avenue and extending 155 feet southerly therefrom.

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Myrtle Avenue – Beginning at the northerly curb line of Myrtle Avenue and extending 155 feet northerly therefrom.

Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Washington Avenue – Beginning at the northerly curb line of Washington Avenue and extending 155 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Myrtle Avenue – Beginning at the northerly curb line of Myrtle Avenue and extending 155 feet northerly therefrom.

(A) Linwood Avenue – Beginning at the southerly curb line of Linwood Avenue and extending 155 feet southerly therefrom.

ii. In the Borough of Englewood Cliffs:

(A) Palisades Avenue - Beginning at the southerly curb line of Palisades Avenue and extending 178 feet southerly therefrom.

(D) Clendinen Place - Beginning at the southerly curb line of Clendinen Place and extending 170 feet southerly therefrom.
