(a) |
The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 26 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed: |

In Middlesex County: |

i. In the Township of North Brunswick: |
(1) |
For both directions of traffic: |
|
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between Route US 1 and the Route US 1 overpass (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.49); thence |
|
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between the Route US 1 overpass and 360 feet south of Jessica Lane (approximate mileposts 0.49 to 1.18); thence |
|
(C) Zone 3: 35 MPH between 360 feet south of Jessica Lane and the North Brunswick Township - City of New Brunswick corporate line (approximate mileposts 1.18 to 1.98); thence |
(2) |
For the northbound direction of traffic: |

(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the North Brunswick Township – City of New Brunswick corporate line and New Jersey Department of Transportation - Middlesex County jurisdictional line (Mile Run Brook), except for 25 MPH when passing through the Livingston Park School zone while "25 MPH WHEN FLASHING" signs are operating during recess or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 1.18 to 2.54); thence |
