Traffic Regulations

(a)

The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route I-287 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum rate of speed:

1.

In Middlesex County:

i. In the Township of Edison:

(1)

For the northbound direction of traffic:

(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the New Jersey Turnpike–Route NJ 440-Route I-287 interchange and Route US 1 (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.93); thence

(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between Route US 1 and the Edison Township corporate line–South Plainfield Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 0.93 to 4.00); thence

For the southbound direction of traffic:

(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the New Jersey Turnpike–Route NJ 440–Route I-287 interchange and 80 feet north of Whiteman Avenue (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 1.69); thence

(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between 80 feet north of Whitman Avenue and the Edison Township – South Plainfield Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 1.69 to 4.00); thence

ii. In the Borough of South Plainfield:

For both directions of traffic:
