Traffic Regulations

(a)

The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 3 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:

1.

In Passaic County:

i. In the City of Clifton:

(1)

For both directions of traffic:

(A)Zone 1: 55 MPH between Route US 46 and the City of Clifton -Rutherford Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 4.95); thence

In Bergen County:

i. In the Borough of Rutherford:

(1)

For both directions of traffic:

(A)Zone 1: 55 MPH between the City of Clifton - Rutherford Borough corporate line and the Rutherford Borough - East Rutherford Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 4.95 to 6.86); thence

ii. In the Borough of East Rutherford:

(1)

For both directions of traffic:

(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the Rutherford Borough - East Rutherford Borough corporate line and the East Rutherford Borough – Town of Secaucus corporate line (approximate mileposts 6.86 to 8.49); thence

In Hudson County:

i. In the Town of Secaucus:

(1)

For both directions of traffic:

(A)Zone 1: 55 MPH between the East Rutherford Borough – Town of Secaucus corporate line and Patterson Plank Road (approximate mileposts 8.49 to 9.12); thence

(B)Zone 2: 50 MPH between Patterson Plank Road and the Town of Secaucus - North Bergen Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 9.12 to 10.24); thence

ii. In the Township of North Bergen:

(1)

For both directions of traffic:

(A)Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Town of Secaucus - North Bergen Township corporate line and Route US 1&9 (approximate mileposts 10.24 to 10.84).

The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 3 (Service Road East) described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:

In Hudson County:

i. In the Town of Secaucus:

For the eastbound direction of traffic:

(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the westernmost intersection of Route NJ 3 and Roosevelt Avenue; thence

(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between Roosevelt Avenue and the Town of Secaucus - North Bergen Township corporate line; thence

ii. In the Township of North Bergen:

(1)

For the eastbound direction of traffic

(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Town of Secaucus - North Bergen Township corporate line and the easternmost intersection of Route NJ 3.

The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 3 (Service Road West) described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:

1.

In Hudson County:

i. In the Township of North Bergen:

(1)

For the westbound direction of traffic

(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between Route I-495 and the North Bergen Township - Town of Secaucus corporate line; thence

ii. In the Town of Secaucus:

(1)

For the westbound direction of traffic:

(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between the North Bergen Township - Town of Secaucus corporate line and the westernmost intersection of Route NJ 3.
