Speed Limits For State Roads

Route NJ 35
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 35 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Ocean County:
i.  In the Township of Berkeley:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 25 MPH between Island Beach State Park and the Berkeley Township – Seaside Park Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.54); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between the southern Seaside Heights Borough-Berkeley Township corporate line and the northern Berkeley Township-Seaside Heights Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.58 to 2.73); thence
ii. In the Borough of Seaside Park:
(1) For both directions of traffic from May 1 to September 30 annually:
(A) Zone 1: 25 MPH between the Berkeley Township – Seaside Park Borough corporate line and Central Avenue (approximate mileposts 0.54 to 2.21); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH between Central Avenue and the Seaside Park Borough – Seaside Heights Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.21 to 2.42); thence
(2) For both directions of traffic from October 1 to April 30 annually:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Berkeley Township – Seaside Park Borough corporate line and the Seaside Park Borough – Seaside Heights Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 0.54 to 2.42); thence
iii. In the Borough of Seaside Heights:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Seaside Park Borough-Seaside Heights Borough corporate line and the southern Seaside Heights Borough-Berkeley Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.42 to 2.58); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between the northern Berkeley Township-Seaside Heights Borough corporate line and the Seaside Heights Borough-Toms River Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.73 to 3.36); thence
iv. In the Township of Toms River (formerly known as Dover Twp.):
(1) For the One-Way (northbound) direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Seaside Heights Borough-Toms River Township corporate line and Holiday Road (approximate mileposts 3.36 to 3.62) thence
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between Holiday Road and the southernmost Toms River Township-Lavallette Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 3.62 to 4.35); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH between the northernmost Lavallette Borough-Toms River Township corporate line and the Toms River Township-Brick Township corporate line approximate mileposts 5.60 to 7.24); thence
(2) For the One-Way (southbound) direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Seaside Heights Borough-Toms River Township corporate line and Eisenhower Avenue (approximate mileposts 3.36 to 3.69); thence
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between Eisenhower Avenue and the southernmost Lavallette Borough-Toms River Township corporate line from May 15 to September 15 (approximate mileposts 3.69 to 4.35); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between Eisenhower Avenue and the southernmost Lavallette Borough-Toms River Township corporate line from September 15 to May 15 (approximate mileposts 3.69 to 4.35); thence
(C) Zone 3: 35 MPH between the northernmost Toms River Township-Lavallette Borough corporate line and the Brick Township-Toms River Township corporate line from May 15 to September 15 (approximate mileposts 5.60 to 7.24); thence
(D) Zone 4: 45 MPH between the northernmost Toms River Township-Lavallette Borough corporate line and the Brick Township-Toms River Township corporate line from September 15 to May 15 (approximate mileposts 5.60 to 7.24); thence
v. In the Borough of Lavallette:
(1) For the One-Way (northbound) direction traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the southernmost Toms River Township-Lavallette Borough corporate line and the northernmost Lavallette Borough-Toms River Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 4.35 to 5.60); thence
(2) For the One-Way (southbound) direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the southernmost Toms River Township-Lavallette Borough corporate line and the northernmost Lavallette Borough-Toms River Township corporate line from May 15 to September 15 except for a 25 MPH when passing through the Lavallette Elementary School zone while "25 MPH WHEN FLASHING" sign is operating during recess or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 4.35 to 5.60); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between the southernmost Toms River Township-Lavallette Borough corporate line and the northernmost Lavallette Borough-Toms River Township corporate line from September 15 to May 15 except for 25 MPH when passing through the Lavallette Elementary School zone while "25 MPH WHEN FLASHING" sign is operating during recess or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 4.35 to 5.60); thence
vi. In the Township of Brick:
(1) For the One-Way (northbound) direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Toms River Township-Brick Township corporate line and Elder Street (approximate mileposts 7.24 to 7.71); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between Elder Street and the Brick Township-Mantoloking Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 7.71 to 9.04); thence
(2) For the One-Way (southbound) direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Toms River Township-Brick Township corporate line and the Brick Township-Mantoloking Borough corporate line from May 15 to September 15 (approximate mileposts 7.24 to 9.04); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between the Toms River Township-Brick Township corporate line and the Brick Township-Mantoloking Borough corporate line from September 15 to May 15 (approximate mileposts 7.24 to 9.04); thence
vii. In the Borough of Mantoloking:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH from October 1 to April 30 annually between the Brick Township - Mantoloking Borough corporate line and the Mantoloking Borough - Bay Head Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 9.04 to 11.21); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH from May 1 to September 30 annually between the Brick Township - Mantoloking Borough corporate line and the Mantoloking Borough - Bay Head Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 9.04 to 11.21); thence
viii. In the Borough of Bay Head:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Mantoloking Borough-Bay Head Borough corporate line and Johnson Street (approximate mileposts 11.21 to 11.57); thence
(B) Zone 2: 30 MPH between Johnson Street and Harris Street (approximate mileposts 11.57 to 12.16); thence
(C) Zone 3: 35 MPH between Harris Street and the Bay Head Borough-Point Pleasant Beach Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 12.16 to 12.48); thence
ix. In the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Bay Head Borough-Point Pleasant Beach Borough corporate line and the southernmost intersection of Route NJ 88 (Sea Avenue) (approximate mileposts 12.48 to 12.88); thence
(2) For the One-Way (northbound) direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the southernmost intersection of Route NJ 88 (Sea Avenue) and the Point Pleasant Beach Borough-Brielle Borough corporate line (Manasquan River) (approximate mileposts 12.88 to 14.50); thence
(3) For the One-Way (southbound) direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the southernmost intersection of Route NJ 88 (Sea Avenue) and Broadway Avenue (County Route 635) (approximate mileposts 12.88 to 14.29); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH Broadway Avenue (County Route 635) and the Point Pleasant Beach Borough-Brielle Borough corporate line (Manasquan River) (approximate mileposts 14.29 to 14.50); thence
2. In Monmouth County:
NOTE: State Highway Route NJ 35 is coincident with State Highway Route NJ 71 from approximate mileposts 21.06 to 21.41.
i. In the Borough of Brielle:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1:  50 MPH between the Point Pleasant Beach Borough-Brielle Borough corporate line (Manasquan River) and the Brielle Borough-Wall Township corporate line (Old Bridge Road/County Route 20) (approximate mileposts 14.50 to 15.75); thence
ii. In the Township of Wall:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1:  50 MPH between the Brielle Borough-Wall Township corporate line (Old Bridge Road/County Route 20) and Route NJ 35-70 and Route NJ 34 Traffic Circle (approximate mileposts 15.75 to 16.00); thence
(B) Zone 2:  40 MPH between Route NJ 35-70 and the Wall Township-Belmar Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 16.00 to 20.44); thence
iii. In the Borough of Belmar:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
