Speed Limits For State Roads

Route US 9
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route US 9 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Cape May County:
NOTE: State Highway Route US 9 is under Delaware River and Bay Authority jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 3.06.
NOTE: Route US 9 from approximate mileposts 30.72 to 31.90 is under Cape May County Bridge Commission jurisdiction (formerly Beesley’s Point Bridge Company jurisdiction) from approximate mileposts 30.72 to 31.90.
i. In the Township of Lower:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between Route NJ 109 and 2,330 feet south of Bennetts Crossing Road (approximate mileposts 3.06 to 3.79); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between 2,330 feet south of Bennetts Crossing Road and Sally Marshall Drive – Cresse Lane, except for 35 MPH when passing through the Lower Cape May Regional High School-Teitelman School (Bennetts Crossing) zone (mileposts 4.18 to 4.47), while 35 MPH "When Flashing" signs are operating during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 3.79 to 5.83); thence
