The rate of speed designated for the certain part of State Highway Route US 1&9 described in this section shall be established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed thereat: |

(A) 45 MPH between McClellan Street and the Newark City-Elizabeth City corporate line (approximate mileposts 46.30 to 46.20); thence |

In Union County: |

i. In the City of Elizabeth: |
| (1) |
For southbound direction of traffic: |
| |
(A) 45 MPH between the Newark City-Elizabeth City corporate line and Neck Lane (approximate mileposts 46.20 to 45.67) thence; |
| |
(B) 40 MPH between Neck Lane and North Avenue (approximate mileposts 45.67 to 45.44). |
