Pulaski Skyway

Short-term Priority Improvements

The New Jersey Department of Transportation developed a prioritized list of specific high priority improvements that were essential to preserve the structural integrity of the bridge while a long-term solution (replacement or rehabilitation) was decided upon.

The high priority improvements identified include:

  • repairing the deteriorated concrete railings at the east end of the structure;
  • performing deck repairs to the most deteriorated spans;
  • repairs to structural steel and concrete supports; and
  • installing a drainage system along the full length of the bridge.
