One of the adult Bald Eagles flies in front of Canadian geese. Bald Eagles are known for their excellent eyesight and are capable of seeing fish (their main diet) in the water from several hundred feet.
A goose exclusion fence was recommended to keep the geese from eating the grasses the first two years while the grasses were getting established. It will be removed after that time.
The adult Bald Eagles are sitting on the nest which are generally five feet in diameter but can become larger as they reuse their nest each year. They build their nests in large trees near a river or coast.
One of the adult wild Bald Eagles left the nest and is perched in a tree adjacent to the nest.
The other adult wild Bald Eagle left the nest and perched in this tree.
A side profile of one of the adult Bald Eagles soaring high in the sky on wind thermals.
Construction continues on the Route 1 Millstone River Bridge Replacement project.
