Bobby Flay Highlights Jersey Shore Cuisine
Trenton, N.J. (April 22, 2004)—From
casual boardwalk fare to gourmet meals, celebrity chef Bobby Flay will
feature a taste of the Jersey Shore on the Foodnetwork's FoodNation with
Bobby Flay on Tuesday, May 4 at 9:30 p.m.
"The Jersey Shore is well-known for its diverse
culinary delights," says Nancy Byrne, executive director of the New
Jersey Office of Travel & Tourism. "From Jersey Fresh seafood
to our official state fruit, the blueberry, to the boardwalk's custard
ice cream treats, we're pleased Bobby experienced true Jersey Shore cuisine."
Flay visited the Garden State during the summer to tape
the upcoming episode. Highlighted establishments include Doris & Ed's
of the Highlands; Bahr's Landing also of the Highlands/Sandy Hook; Jenkinson's
Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach as well as local band Jobonannoband.
Bobby Flay explores cities and regions across the United
States to examine local culinary history and character. FoodNation with
Bobby Flay airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 7:00
p.m. Times are ET/PT.
