Featured Speaker at Governor's 2006 Conference on Tourism
Trenton, NJ (March 29, 2006) —Jon Tisch, a recognized national leader of the travel and tourism industry and chairman and CEO of Loews Hotels, will present the keynote address at the 2006 Governor’s Conference on Tourism at the Trump Plaza Hotel Casino in Atlantic City April 5-7.
The Governor’s Conference on Tourism is a joint venture between the New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission’s Office of Travel & Tourism and the New Jersey Travel Industry Association. The conference is the state’s premier travel industry event uniting hundreds of the state’s tourism leaders to discuss the latest trends and issues facing the profession.
Tisch, who leads one of the country’s top luxury hotel companies, has relied on the “power of partnerships.” He will share the secrets of his success with New Jersey’s tourism officials during the General Session April 6. In his new book, The Power of We, he provides a blueprint for achieving lasting success through partnerships that empower employees, satisfy customers, contribute to communities, and improve the bottom line. He will provide insights into his passion for working together, and how his partnership principles can make day-to-day management more effective and rewarding.
In his role as a national leader of travel and tourism, Tisch frequently touts the industry’s importance to the economy as a vehicle for economic development and job creation. He has received numerous honors and accolades for his leadership, including “Hotel Person of the Year” by Travel Agent magazine, one of the “Business Travel Industry’s Most Influential Executives” by Business Travel News, and one of the “25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry” by Meeting News magazine.
