BON JOVI PROVE "YOU CAN GO HOME"
AND SHARE THE PASSION WITH OTHERS

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (April 6, 2006) —New Jersey natives, state advocates and world travelers, Bon Jovi will lend the power of their voices and the message of their lyrics to serve as the background music for a new television commercial showcasing the unexpected pleasures and beauty of the state for the New Jersey Office of Travel & Tourism. The television commercials featuring the hit, “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” from the album Have A Nice Day will begin airing in April.

Through their donation of time, Jon Bon Jovi and fellow band mate Richie Sambora hope to spread their passion about New Jersey with others. The emotional commercials showcase the unexpected pleasures, surprises and experiences of New Jersey that research shows travelers are looking for in a vacation destination. The commercials will air in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Harrisburg-Lancaster-York, Allentown and Hartford-New Haven markets.

“Tourism is the third largest industry in the State and growing,” according to Governor Jon S. Corzine. “It is imperative to our economic future to keep residents and visitors alike vacationing in New Jersey - - with so much to offer from attractions, restaurants and shopping people will find unexpected pleasures with each new destination they visit.”

Visuals featured in the commercials run the gamut from the State’s beautiful beaches, busy boardwalks, seaside dining and Bed & Breakfasts to attractions such as horseback riding, lake & river activities – tubing, boating and fly-fishing. The fall spot will show foliage, mountain biking and hiking trails, apple picking, hayrides and living farms open for visitors. Bon Jovi’s generous donation of the song “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” provides the perfect words to fit the images, making the commercials a complete New Jersey package.

“After hearing the lyrics of the song, I knew the words would ring true for New Jersey residents across the state – natives as well as those who have moved here and fallen in love with this remarkable place to live and vacation,” said New Jersey Commerce Secretary Virginia Bauer. “We were thrilled when Jon Bon Jovi offered the music for the commercials – even though they’ve traveled the world, Bon Jovi’s unabashed affection for their home state shines through in the song. This generous donation of the song “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” provides a passionate soundtrack for the stunning images, making the commercials a complete New Jersey package providing a compelling reason for residents and visitors to explore the wonders of the state.”
