New Jersey’s Bed & Breakfasts Overcome Mother Nature;
Inns Open and Welcoming Guests Statewide

Creative Packages, Imaginative Local Events, and Last-Minute Deals Signal
“All Systems Go” at B&B’s Along the Delaware River and Throughout New Jersey

Trenton, NJ — New Jersey’s captivating Bed & Breakfasts, several of which were in regions of the state that experienced flooding along the Delaware River, are open for business and welcoming guests – enticing visitors with last-minute specials, participation in local events, and creative packages for the current summer season and into the foliage-filled autumn.

“Some of the flooding pictures on the news were undoubtedly spectacular,” notes Nancy Byrne, executive director of The New Jersey Office of Travel & Tourism, “and we want visitors to know that our state’s Bed & Breakfasts are doing well – not only in areas affected by the floods but all across the state. Now is a great time to book a midsummer stay at one of our welcoming inns, and we’re looking forward to the magical fall season here in the Garden State as well.”

In Lambertville, nestled along the scenic Delaware, the town has just launched their “Second Saturday” program, a year-‘round monthly event on the Second Saturday of each month. July’s debut program enjoyed a medieval theme with roaming minstrels, knights in full armor, juggling jesters, comedic swordplay and perhaps the town’s first king and princess.

New Jersey’s innkeepers are also offering tempting deals and packages – even in the typically busy summer season. At the Candlelight Inn in North Wildwood, guests can enjoy “Last Minute Madness” by calling between 11am and 2pm on any day of the week, through September, to get a special rate for that night. At The Beacon House in Sea Girt, guests can save 20 percent off regular mid-week rates after Labor Day, on top of a Monday-Thursday deal that offers 50 percent off the fourth night.

A stay in a New Jersey Bed & Breakfast is always more exciting than just a room and breakfast; around the state, innkeepers look towards the glorious Fall season with creative packages such as the “A Little Skylands Adventure” package at Stanhope’s Whistling Swan Inn. Guests will enjoy such “off the beaten path” adventures as an airplane ride high above the Delaware Water Gap’s brilliant foliage and a one-hour trail ride on horseback.
