Wings ‘N Water Festival
Celebrates New Jersey Coastal Life
Trenton—The Wetlands Institute is
once again proud to celebrate The Wings ‘n Water Festival, one of
the premier Wildlife Arts Festivals in the country, scheduled for Saturday,
September 16 and Sunday, September 17.
The event, in its 24th year, is promoted as a “Celebration
of the Coast,” where people of all ages and interests can enjoy guided
bird walks, boat cruises and kayaking, Labrador Retriever demonstrations.
Children can even participate in hands-on exhibits and crafts.
The festivities begin Friday, September 15 with a kick-off
auction and cocktail party. Original art, carvings, golf, travel, fine
dining, clothing and household items will be available during a live and
silent auction.
In addition to the activities, the festival will include
numerous art exhibits and sales. The Wildlife and Duck Stamp Art exhibit
will feature Sherrie Russell Meline, the 2006-2007 winning Federal Duck
Stamp artist and works from other artists. At the Wildlife and Maritime
Art exhibit, some of the nation’s finest wildlife and maritime artists
will display their art in various mediums.
Original watercolor paintings featuring lighthouses, bridges
and gardens will be for sale by the artists who will be available to discuss
the style and setting. Wildlife and Coastal Scenic photographers, a nationally
recognized sculptor, outdoor artists, quilters, professional carvers and
other artisans will also showcase their wares.
A single ticket at a cost of $10 for adults and $4 for children
covers admission to the festival for both Saturday and Sunday. Ticket information

The Wings ‘n Water Festival is a 2006 recipient of
the New Jersey Travel & Tourism Cooperative Marketing Grant. The Cooperative
Marketing Sponsorship Program has been a valuable tool for tourism industry
representatives who show a commitment to increasing visitation and generating
visitor revenues throughout the Garden State.
