Trenton—Enjoy an old-fashioned, Victorian holiday in Cape May where the charm of Christmas abounds in the many festivities and events that celebrate the season.

An Old-Fashioned Christmas: Holiday Traditions Through the Years: An exhibit of holiday traditions from decorated trees to toy trains at the Carriage House Gallery of the Emlen Physick Estate.
Taste of Christmas Tour: Take a walking tour of Cape May’s Historic District, and then enjoy lunch at the world-renowned Mad Batter restaurant on historic Jackson Street. Tours last about one hour.
Lamplighter Christmas Tour: Relive the memories of yesteryear by joining in this self-guided evening tour of five of Cape May’s finest bed and breakfast inns.
Holiday Traditions Workshop and Lunch: All the holiday traditions we know and love stem from the Victorian world. Enjoy a holiday lunch, a richly illustrated lecture on the origins of beloved traditions, then, make your own Victorian ornaments.
Kids Holiday Workshop: Kids can make their own craft ornament at this easy and enjoyable workshop, held on the sun porch of the Emlen Physick Estate.
Santa’s Trolley Ride: Bring the kids to the Physick Estate for a ride around Cape May on Santa’s Trolley.
33rd Annual Christmas Candlelight House Tour: This self-guided tour, the main attraction of Cape May's festive holiday season, features homes, inns, hotels and churches decorated for the holidays, plus caroling, strolling musicians, and good old-fashioned cheer. Hospitality centers offer warm beverages and home-baked treats.
Winery Cellar Tour & Tasting: An afternoon at the award-winning Cape May Winery includes a tour of the vineyard to see how grapes are grown, an introduction to the winemaker’s art, and a barrel tasting with cheese, fruit, and a complimentary glass of wine.
Dickens Christmas Extravaganza: Enjoy the sights and sounds, tastes and scents of Dickens’ era. A variety of lectures and performances about Dickens and the Victorian world are offered daily. The festivities conclude with a proper Victorian Feast.
Wine Tasting Dinner: “Wines of Chile.” A four-course feast at the world-famous Mad Batter restaurant, influenced by South American, European and Mexican cultures, accompanied by new world wines. Presented by a guest sommelier.
