Historic Sites

Listed on the National Register, the Foster-Armstrong house in Montague displays items of historical interest from the 1700's to the early 1900's. Rockingham Historic Site in Kingston was George Washington's last wartime headquarters and has been restored and furnished with period pieces for visitors to admire.

The Franklin Mineral Museum houses fluorescent, local, and worldwide mineral exhibits, along with artifacts, fossils, two level mine replica, and rock collecting. Plan to visit the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in Parsippany, a National Historic Landmark complete with furniture and artifacts of the 1900-1916 arts & crafts movement.
