Historic Parks

The Bridgeton Historical District is New Jersey's largest historical district with 2,200 Colonial, Victorian and Federalist buildings. Richard Hancock began this settlement when he built a sawmill and workmen's houses in this district in 1686.

Historic Sites

Sunset Lake and Turtle Gut Park and Memorial in Wildwood Crest is the historic site of an American Revolution Battle. This park and memorial commemorates the only battle of the American Revolutionary War that was fought in Cape May County.
