RETIREE DENTAL EXPENSE PLAN
The Retiree Dental Expense
Plan, administered by Aetna Dental, is available to:
and local government retirees eligible to enroll in the Retired Group of the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP)
Retired Group, and
- Local education retirees eligible to enroll
in the Retired Group of the School Employees' Health Benefits Program (SEHBP).
Most retirees have one opportunity
to enroll in the Retiree Dental Expense Plan when the individual
retires or becomes eligible for enrollment in SHBP oe SEHBP
Retired Group coverage. Enrollment is generally offered within
30-60 days of retirement or eligibility for benefits under
the Retired Group.
All State retirees — and most other retirees — who enroll in the Retiree Dental Expense Plan are
responsible for paying the full cost of the coverage.
