Division of Purchase and Property

Jun.17.2016

Premiere of NJSTART logo

The Division of Purchase and Property is pleased to announce the official premiere of NJSTART, the State’s new eProcurement solution on June 20, 2016.

NJSTART.gov is designed to increase competition and open up opportunities for both small and large companies. So far nearly 12,000 suppliers have registered their businesses with NJSTART.

NJSTART’s business interface integrates the State’s financial, procurement, and tax/revenue systems with vendor data in real time. This interface also allows for the instantaneous certification of electronic W-9s for the first time, and it expands the quantity of electronic payments enabling prompt payment.
Over the next few months, all contracts will be converted, and all business transactions and purchase orders will be processed through the new system. Most importantly, all new bidding opportunities will be administered through NJSTART starting on June 20, 2016.

Also note that the Division will no longer use eBid and eRFP for any new solicitations posted on or after June 20, 2016.  We are encouraging all vendors who had signed up for either or both of these services to register in NJSTART, if they haven’t already done so.
