Registration has the responsibility of maintaining registration
information on all businesses and individuals that are required
by law to report and pay taxes in the State of New Jersey. The
unit is also responsible for registration related activities
such as issuing licenses and certificates.
The
tax eligibility information that is maintained on the registration
file is used for the mailing of forms and notices to taxpayers.
In addition, it also facilitates the identification of taxpayers
who fail to file required returns.
The
majority of business registrations and changes to the registration
are now completed online. You may still wish to review the Business

that accompany the form, or the Request
