(Commercial Recording)

The Treasurer of the State of New Jersey serves as the primary information repository for the State's business, legal and financial communities. Through the Division of Revenue, the Treasurer administers a wide variety of public records services ranging from corporate filing to Uniform Commercial Code filing and debtor searching. Online access to public information is provided through the Business Gateway Registry Services page.

Located at 33 West State Street in Trenton, the Business Services Office (formerly Commercial Recording) provides a number of different service options for its clients. These include regular mail-in service, over-the-counter expedited service with 8.5-business hour turnaround, and online services. Selected same business day service offerings are available and include walk-in registration for both Business Tax Registration and Certificate of Incorporation. Telephone service for corporate name availability and status reporting is also provided.
