Welcome to our rejection notice assistance page.
This page is designed to provide you with e-mail access
to our Business Services staff, who will assist you in resubmitting document
filing and information access work requests that have been rejected.
If you received a rejection notice from our Business
Support Services (Commercial Recording) Bureau and would like assistance
in resubmitting your work request, you may send us an e-mail and we will
respond with additional instructions.
In your e-mail, be sure to include the following:
- The type of filing or work request involved -- for example,
Certificate of Incorporation filing, UCC filing, request for business status
report, etc.
- The date you originally submitted your work request.
- If you received a computer-generated rejection notice,
the Work Request Number and Job Number(s) (Listed on pages 1 and 2 of the
notice respectively).
- The rejection reason or instruction that you are having
difficulty with.
- Your specific question.

Response
Time
We will endeavor to answer
all requests for assistance within three business days of receipt, with
all responses by e-mail. Our ability to respond in a timely fashion depends
on the volume and complexity of requests received during the course of
a day. Please note that for complex issues, we may need to request copies
of the documents you submitted.

Obtaining
General Assistance and Scope of Service
If you need general assistance before submitting a work request, you may call (609) 292-9292, or access our general
information pages and on-line forms service. In this connection, please
be aware that this is NOT a document pre-clearance service. That is, we cannot
pre-clear documents for filing through this service.

Service
Goal
Our goal in providing this
service is to help customers who have received rejection notices secure
the filing and information access services they seek without further delay
and frustration.
In this connection, we recognize
that it is most desirable to process all work requests the first time
we receive them, or failing this, to insure that our rejection notices
are self-explanatory. Realistically, however, we believe that we must
be prepared to handle work requests that do not meet basic legal requirements
or that lack sufficient information for processing. As a practical matter,
knowing that many of our customers may not be familiar with the technical
and legal aspects of our work, we must also be prepared to provide additional
explanations to customers who have received rejection notices.

Resubmission
Instructions
Once we have responded and you have corrected your
filing or work request, you may resubmit your material using
one of the three options below.
In all cases, please
be mindful of fee payments.
- If you already submitted your fee for the appropriate
amount and we deposited your payment, do not send us another payment.
- If we indicated that you did not submit an appropriate
amount, send in a payment with your corrected filing that covers the difference
between your initial payment and the applicable filing fee.
- If you wish to upgrade your original work request from
regular mail to over-the-counter expedited service (8.5 business-hour processing),
send in a an extra $15 for Corporate, Limited Partnership, and General Partnership or $25 for Limited Liability Company and Limited Liability Partnership to cover the service upgrade. Be sure to resubmit
to our over-the-counter address (Option 2 below).
