The New Jersey Division of Taxation is offering free internet filing of personal income tax returns for this tax season.

There are a number of reasons for you to consider this method for filing your return:

This is a secure system. Various "fire-walls" and security software are part of the program.

*NOTE: First time filers will be required to use direct deposit if due a refund.

Why Should You WebFile?

Every successfully filed return is assigned a confirmation number. That number is presented to you as part of the last step in the process. You can check on the status of your refund, using the automated refund inquiry system (ARIS) by calling 1-800-323-4400.

Most resident returns can be filed using this program, including first time filers.

*NOTE: First time filers will be required to use direct deposit if due a refund.
