An Intelligence Based Decision Support Software for Statewide Traffic Management Center Operations

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority (“the Authority”) is issuing this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) to procure the services of a private firm to provide software and customized implementation services for an intelligence based decision support software within the Statewide Traffic Management Center (“TMC”). This software (“TMC Core Software”) is intended to further assist the Authority and New Jersey Department of Transportation (“NJDOT”) TMC personnel with efficiently and effectively monitoring, analyzing and improving roadway safety, security and mobility through the interpretation and analysis of various data feeds and system recommended actions. The procurement of services to implement the TMC Core Software is the second phase in an effort to improve TMC operations and coordination between agencies. Having shared a common TMC for over a year, the Authority, NJDOT and the New Jersey State Police (“NJSP”) each have an appreciation for, and understanding of, what is needed to enhance their ability to serve the traveling public.
