Duffield's Farm has been a family farming tradition since
the 1930's and is now being operated by the third generation
of Duffields. The 150 acres owned by the Duffield's is permanently
preserved through the farmland preservation program and will
be maintained as a farm in perpetuity. The farm operation
utilizes a greenhouse, and the farm harvests more than 35
varieties of fruits and vegetables, with a majority of the
produce being marketed through their retail farm market. With
over 80 years of experience in production agriculture, Duffield's
has provided hands-on farm experiences to school age children
through its on-farm agricultural education sessions since
1990. Visit the Instructional Learning Center designed to
teach students how to identify, explore and solve problems
at every learning station. A hayride through the farm will
offer students the opportunity to view crops in their various
stages of production. The petting zoo allows students to feed
and interact with the farm animals, or they can test their
motor skills in the corn maze.
