Agricultural Chemistry
Through registration, sampling and testing of products, the program aims to insure the quality of feeds, fertilizers, and limes in order to promote crop yield and animal health. In addition, the program monitors for adulterants in animal feeds and waste materials labeled as fertilizer.

- Services
The Division also provides field inspection, sampling and laboratory analysis of animal feed, fertilizers and liming material sold in New Jersey. These analyses, coupled with enforcement actions against producers of mislabeled or substandard products, enable the division to protect crop yields and promote animal growth. Label or registration violations found during field inspections and analyses result in those items being removed from sale and, in some cases, fines levied against manufacturers and refunds to buyers.

- Slowly released nitrogen:
i. Water insoluble nitrogen: $21.60 per unit;
ii. Coated available nitrogen: $19.00 per unit; - Available phosphoric acid: $18.40 per unit;
- Soluble potash: $23.94 per unit.
