PLEASE SEE THE MESSAGE BELOW FROM SECRETARY DOUGLAS FISHER: Working papers for minors goes digital via NJDOL 6-1-23 Rather than going through their local school district, young workers will now be able to visit the website – myworkingpapers.nj.gov - to obtain their working papers through a few simple steps. The NJDOL website also features a young worker hub with additional information and resources.
Concerning the new law and process for teens who need to obtain working papers: Effective tomorrow, June 1st, working papers for minors will be online, streamlined, and managed by the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development.
