NJ--- Erin Zukus, Vice President of the New Jersey
FFA Association, was one of more than 100 state
FFA officers who gathered in Washington, DC,
July 23 through 29 to strengthen their skills
in leadership and citizenship and discuss national
FFA business as part of the National FFA State
Presidents' Conference. One highlight of the
week included a press conference with President
George W. Bush. During the press conference,
President Bush spoke about the future of agriculture,
his ideas on world trade, and the importance
of education. Afterwards, several FFA members
had the opportunity to meet the president. FFA
is a national organization that prepares students
enrolled in agricultural education for future
careers. FFA makes a positive difference in the
lives of students by developing their potential
for premier leadership, personal growth, and
career success.
